The weather is cooling off here and since it rained, the laundry on the clothesline is soaked, but without a dryer, I'll probably have to bring it in and dry in on hangers. That's not a big deal, though.
What are you guys doing today? Staying warm? Playng the matching game with mommy or daddy? Oh, yes, daddy is off today, so you probably will be out and about...
I've made some delicious vegetable chicken soup with barley and it is soooo good. Wish you were here. I'd fill you a big bowl and we'd sit and talk about what you want to be when you both grow up. I know you, Hailey, are going to be a great mommy.
Isaac said that girls shouldn't worry about a career when they grow up because being a mommy is a very good career and that takes a lot of time. He is so right. Being a mother is a career with a lot of joy that lasts forever!
It's called, "You Belong in a Zoo" by Peter Brazaitis. It's been very interesting to find out what it's like to work in a zoo, particularly the reptile house. Have you ever thought about how the glass on the tanks where the snakes live are always clean? That is an ongoing job for a zoo keeper and they can't remove every animal every time they clean its cage. Dangerous, for sure! Maybe when you get bigger, mommy can read it to you, Hailey.
Well, I wanted to tell you one more thing. This afternoon, we're going to take the boys to the San Antonio Museum of Art. Every Tues. from 4-9, it's free!!! Your great aunt Karyn called me from Florida this morning to tell me she saw the site and wanted me to know about it. I believe I've taken the boys there once, but grampa hasn't been there and he's really excited about it.
Well, that's the newest news I have.
